This book flowed very well, just like previous Siri Mitchell books. However, I found this book more difficult to read. Mitchell's characters have depth and inner struggles that are usually more of the focus of the book. In Unrivaled, the focus was more on the character Lucy's plan to destroy the larger candy company set out to buy her father's smaller candy company. Charlie, the love interest for Lucy is the son of the rival candy company. I would have loved to read more about how Charlie's family was doing with the extra money being sent to them in Chicago. I would additional like to have seen more time spend on developing the characters spiritually and romantically like previous Mitchell books. It seemed that the romantic and spiritual developments were solved in a few pages. Although the love story was woven here and there throughout the book. I loved that the book was set in St. Louis, Mo.
