Tried and True (Wild at Heart Book #1) by Mary Connealy

Normally I plan to read a chapter or two of a book per day until it's over. Very few books grab my attention and I can't put it down. I've heard wonderful things about Mary Connealy and was looking forward to this book. I was not expecting to start the book and finish it 2.5 hours later. The characters were well written, delightfully witty and very easy to relate to. The book is about Kylie, who hid her identity and served in the Civil War. She is now homesteading and someone else wants the property she has staked as her own. Introduce the villain(s), romantic story-line, family issues, bad war memories and sisterly bonds which equal a very interesting, but attention grabbing plot line. I loved all the character story-lines and cannot wait to see how they play out in her future books. I even jumped on Amazon to pre-order the next book to my dismay is not on the site yet. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to purchasing Ms. Connealy's previous and future books.
